Clough Oughter Castle, Lough Oughter, Near Killeshandra is the impressive Anglo - Norman Castle, sited on an island in the middle of Lough Oughter. It was built by in the early 13th century but was soon captured by the O' Reilly clan, the Irish rulers of east Breifne.

Castle Coole, Castle Coole was designed by James Wyatt and completed in 1798 for the first Earl of Belmore. The surrounding 700 acre estate is a fitting setting for the mansion and there are enjoyable walks through the Grand Yard, the servants' quarters and tunnel and an ice house.

Marble Arch Caves,These caves allow visitors to explore a fascinating, natural underworld of rivers, waterfalls, winding passages and chambers. The impressive stalactites which glisten above streamways will captivate every member of the family

The Irish Lakelands have some of the finest wild brown trout in Ireland, Lough Sheelin (from Irish Loch Síodh Linn, meaning "lake of the fairy pool") is one of the most famous, a limestone freshwater lough covering an area of approximately 1,900 hectares located on the borders of County Westmeath, County Meath and County Cavan.

Lough Allen Adventure Centre, This activity centre specialises in kayaking, windsurfing and a host of other adventure activities. It caters for all ability levels and offers safe yet challenging surfing trips to the sea, open boating, rafting, hill and gorge walking.

Enniskillen Castle & Museum, The castle was founded by the Gaelic Maguire chieftains and the family ruled the are from this stronghold and forms and important part of Fermanagh's history and heritage. It also houses the Fermanagh County Museum.

Maguire's Chair, Glangevlin, A large stone known as 'Maguire's chair' is deposited on the right hand side of the road, roughly 4 miles from Glangevlin and is so-called because it was supposedly the inauguration site of the Maguire clan in medieval times. The view from here is magnificent.

The Irish Lakelands, boast thousands of lakes (Loughs) and several thousand kilometres of pike bearing rivers and canals which are largely underutilised. The availability and quality of fishing means that Irish pike angling can satisfy the expectations of specialist, experienced and novice anglers alike.

St. Kilians Heritage Centre celebrates the life, work, martyrdom and cult of St. Kilian who was born in Mullagh in 640 AD. Maps, photographs, statuettes, manuscripts and art reproductions bring to life the work of Irish missionaries in Europe in the 6 th and 7 th centuries.The exhibition also traces the development of Gaelic script for the Ogham writing of the 4 th - 7th centuries and the Wurzburg Glosses ( the earliest example of written Irish c.750 ) to the illuminated script of the Book of Kells.

The Sheelin Irish Lace Shop and Museum, The Museum is a private collection which houses approximately 700 exhibits, illustrating all the five main types of Lace which were made in Ireland. On display are Wedding Dresses, Wedding Veils, Shawls, Parasols, Collars, Baby Bonnets, Christening Gowns, Flounces, Jackets and many more items. The exhibits can be split up into five categories: Irish Crochet Lace, Youghal Needlelace, Inishmacsaint Needlelace, Carrickmacross Lace and Limerick Lace.

Turbet Island Motte & Bailey Belturbet, Turbet island and the Motte and Bailey is a fantastic place to go for a walk, in Belturbet have a picnic, and get lost in the surroundings of peace and nature. It is easily accessible by car or by foot and all trails are fully accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. There are 15 Other Routes in Cavan including Killykeen forest park 10 mins drive away.

Sean Eamon Ruairi Trail, The Sean Eamonn Ruairi Trail takes you though a preserved rural Irish landscape, through old fields, past abandoned farmsteads, into the uplands surrounding the small village of Glangevlin. The landscape was the home of Sean Eamonn Ruairi, the last native Irish speaker in West Cavan and serves as a reminder of days gone by.

On Yer Bike Tours, On Yer Bike Tours has a range of gents, ladies and children's bikes for hire. Each bike comes equipped with helmet, pump and pannier bag. Child seats are available upon request. The bikes can be hired on a daily, weekly, or longer period. Located in the historic town of Belturbet, County Cavan which sits on the banks of the River Erne, this picturesque town has a lot to offer and what better way to explore than on a bike.

Killeshandra Forest Walk, Hillside walk on forest path Distance: 6 km Approximate Time: 1 hour Begin the Walk at the Town Lake/Strand on the Belturbet Road. To get there, turn right down the hill at the Ulster Bank, before turning left at the Town Lake/Strand. Parking available.
